No city noise, no traffic.... We bought her in 2017, took us over 10 mths to convert and paint her. We have 2 outdoor seating areas for you to enjoy either a morning cup of coffee or enjoy the evening BBQing or just sitting by a fire. The Yankee Clipper runs off solar but during the hot months she is hooked up to electric so you can run air conditioning. She has on-board water storage tanks and a 6 gal hot water heater to shower, wash clothes and dishes. Enjoy the comfort sitting on a couch and two chairs watching tv or just enjoying the peace and calmness, listening for the hoot owl off in the distance, enjoying our country living surroundings You will have a most comfortable sleep on our king size memory foam bed. A 3rd guest has room to sleep on the couch or we have a twin air mattress. There are 2 ROKU TV's on board with WiFi access and DVD players as well. You will always find fresh clean linen, towels & wash cloths. this is a 1 bedroom house, .Hardwood floor, washer and dryer, 3 people can stay comfortably. I also have a full size air up mattress that can be used for extra sleeping space. We are in the country only a 1/2 mile from 60 highway but in the woods. Its only 20 minutes to beautiful Current river or 10 minutes to Black River(Markham Springs). Wappappello and Clearwater Lakes are within 1/2 hour . Linens are. provided . All you need is a toothbrush. WE also have a fire pit and BBQ grill on a small patio. Please check that you will be bringing animals if that applies there is a cleaning fee for animals. Email is only allowed till you book then i get your number. I do have wifi but sometimes it is very weak, so dont bank on that please.

In a historical building approximately 100 years old, it has been totally remodeled but we exposed some of the ORIGINAL brick walls. The living room and front bedroom faces the river, and of course the deck has river view. It has 3 BR 1 BA, wifi, all new appliances, and washer & dryer, big screen with Netflix. We are about 250 steps from the river once you are at bottom of stairs. You can walk down and stick your toes in the water. There is a mexican restaurant below loft so you may hear music and some noise.

We are an unplugged place with no cell phone service or wifi, but your cell phone will work at the top of the hill (2 min drive) and both cell service and internet are available in Annapolis (5 min drive). We homesteaded this eight acres in the forest a few years ago, and have three privately situated rentals in the woods: The Happy Camper, Cabin on the Creek, and Creekside Cottage. Each are hidden in the trees, however you might or might not see another human during your stay. You have 50+ yards of creek to yourself, signs to show path and your designated area of the creek. Moondance on Coyote Ridge is a unique hand-built log cabin with one of the most beautiful views of the St. Francis Mountains. After Solitude on the St. Francis was completed we wanted another cabin but this time we wanted to break the rules and have more fun. Whimsey meets craftmanship at Moondance. Starting with the blue roof, Moondance on Coyote Ridge is different. We found two expert carpenters specializing in log cabins - first cousins, Westley Smith and Ray Smith. They brought high skills, fine detail and creativity. Artifacts and antiques abound - each with their own story. Much of the antique furniture was purchased from our dear friend Barbara who moved away from the area. Our challenge was to create a space worthy of her. We think we succeeded. Moondance is an experience in peacefulness and quiet. Come and sit a spell.

This is a one bedroom apartment in a shared house overlooking the town of Van Buren, Missouri. We are located at 1000 feet of elevation and the Current River and the town are about 500 feet below. From the porch of this apartment you can see more than twenty miles, and the landscape and visuals are ever-changing. Peace and quiet. Solitude on the St. Francis is a lovely log cabin set in the woods. It is approximately ten miles north of Sam A. Baker State Park in an isolated area. The cabin sits on 260 acres that border the St. Francis River. The St. Francis is easily accessible (a quick two minute walk from the cabin) and is an excellent fishing, swimming and floating river. This log cabin has a master bedroom with a queen size bed, a loft with a full size mattress and a downstairs semi-private bedroom with a full size log bed. Solitude is all electric. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, stove-top burners, crock pot, drip coffee maker, toaster, pots & pans, dishes and utensils. There is one bathroom and a walk-in shower. Solitude is equipped with central heat and air a land line telephone and satelite TV with dvd. The very cold Seabaugh Spring sits in front of the cabin and flows into a small pond and creek that leads into the St. Francis. Bring your inner tubes and swim gear and spend the day at the river. There is also a BBQ grill in front of the cabin and a fire pit for bonfires. There are two miles of hiking trails and a two acre fishing pond on the property. If you are looking for a getaway from civilization, this is the place.

We sit on 77 acres, that offers great areas for walking or hiking. The river is just steps away from us. You will have private river access to swim or float the crystal clear Black River. Some activities to do on the property are fishing, swimming, floating, and hiking. We use game cams to check the wildlife on the property. We also have 4 kayaks available. In the local area, there are several canoe rentals that you can schedule your float trips with. We are just 7 miles from Johnson's Shut-In's State Park. Elephant Rocks State Park is 18 miles. There is also Fort Davidson State Park 20 miles away.

Secluded, private getaway with a fishing pond, bonfire pit, walking trails, 7 bedrooms, 3 baths, chef’s kitchen, and covered patio. 1 bedroom and bathroom is handicap accessible. Perfect for family vacations/reunions, girls/guys weekends, float trip lodging, holiday getaways, etc. Private in-ground pool and courtyard with outdoor fireplace available for additional daily rental. Bunkhouse for 6 also sometimes available for additional lodging-2 weeks notice. The lodge sleeps 14 in beds. There are 4 rooms with queen beds, and 3 rooms with two twins each (6) for a total of 10 beds. Up to 6 extra guests beyond 14 are welcome to sleep on air mattress (bring your own) or in recliners, but there is a $30 one-time fee per person for extra guests. Air mattresses must not be in rooms due to fire hazard/limited space. We provide 2 towels and 2 washcloths per guest. Please bring your own beach/pool towels if you are renting the pool. If you’re looking for a place to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the countryside, our property is ideal. If you’re looking for a place to party, we are not ideal, as we live on-site and outside music must end at 10 pm. Our home shares the courtyard and pool area with the lodge and is connected by an exterior courtyard wall and sidewalk. The lodge has a separate covered patio overlooking the pond area. The lodge is suitable for events, and there is a $10/person day fee for every guest on the property beyond the 14 included in the rental price. Please do not abuse this or the extra guest overnight fee by not paying for the extra guests. We live next door, and only allow groups over 14 guests/events with extra payment. If abused, you will be asked to leave promptly. We also have a very basic bunkhouse near our wedding barn 1/4 mile away from the lodge that becomes available 2 weeks from your reservation if there is no event at the barn. It has 6 bunk beds, a sitting area, and full bathroom should you need additional lodging. We take payment for this in person at $115/night to rent this space. 2-night minimum. (Please consider this space a possible, but not guaranteed, upgrade if your group has more than 14 guests.) The kitchen has all expected appliances, cooking, and dining utensils. There's a Kuerig and a regular coffee maker. Please bring your own coffee. Filters are provided for the large coffee pot. We don't provide pantry items or food. Please bring your own Tupperware for leftovers to take with you. 1 roll of paper towels is provided in the kitchen. There are plenty of kitchen dish clothes. There is a charcoal grill outside. (Bring your own charcoal.) Bathrooms are supplied with 2 rolls of toilet paper each (6 total). We also provide 3 hairdryers and hand soap. Please bring your own toiletries (shampoo,conditioner, toothpaste, etc.) All bedrooms are identical. 6 bedrooms are located upstairs with 2 large bathrooms in the center. The 3 rooms with 2 twins overlook the pool/courtyard. The 3 rooms with a queen overlook the field south of the lodge. The other queen room is on the main level next to the third bathroom. It is slightly larger than the others, but it doesn’t have a window. The rooms are not spacious, so if you have small children, the smaller the portable crib/pack and play, the better. There’s a ping pong table, board games, corn hole set, and books for your entertainment, along with DirectTv and free wifi. Firewood is provided for the outdoor fireplace and bonfire pit by the pond. There are 2 extra folding tables and 4 benches under the stairwell for extra dining space. We also have a high chair and a pack-and-play. *The pool/courtyard area with outdoor fireplace rents for $100/day from 10 am until 10 pm. It rents for $50/day on the evening of arrival (4 pm until 10 pm). Please reserve it directly with us before arrival to ensure your preferred day(s) is available and not being used by us. It opens by Memorial Day and closes in late September each year. Our pool is not heated, which is nice mid-summer, but on the cold-side otherwise. The pool patio furniture is uncovered in May with the opening of the pool and covered in October. The lodge patio and it's furniture is left uncovered year round. The pedal boat is on the same schedule as the pool. We normally have the yard mowed on Friday (weather permitting). Flowers are watered daily. Please treat all our yard/maintenance workers with respect, as they are doing their job to maintain our property to the standards we have set. Guests do not have the authority to tell them to leave. We have a large Great Dane/Great Pyrenees mix dog named Shy. She is very friendly, good with all ages, and used to having guests. She isn't very energetic and doesn't jump, but she is likely to lay near the action or lean on you if you are outside. We also have a cat named Sweetie that spends time inside and out (of our house-she’s never inside the lodge). She is very social and tolerant for a cat, and also good with all ages. At any time, there may also be a new puppy or foster dog. We have a small dog yard that can be used for new pet additions if they become a nuisance. We will only have friendly pets here. However, please do not book with us if you are uncomfortable with outside pets. We will not be on call to remove them from your presence immediately. Please make sure everyone in your group tolerates/does not have a phobia of dogs or cats as we will not remove them entirely from our property. We don't allow other pets on the property for various reasons. No exceptions. Washer and dryer facilities can be rented for $10/day—bring your own detergent. It is unavailable Friday-Sunday if there’s an event at the barn. They are located inside the kitchen/workroom by our wedding barn. There are 2 large trash receptacles on the lodge patio for bagged trash. The main floor can accommodate 5 six-foot folding tables for extra dining space for roughly another 30-34 guests. (Permanent dining table seats 6-8.) Tables, chairs, table linens, and decor can be rented for special occasions. See photos for rental prices. The extra day guest fee applies for guests over the 14 limit included in rental price. This fee is $10/guest. Set-up not included in item rentals. There are security cameras on the property, located in the common area of the lodge, both patio spaces, and at the driveway. These are here for security and liability reasons. If you are uncomfortable with them, please do not request to book, as we are not comfortable not having them. They would only be reviewed in the event of a theft/crime/damages/suspected violation of the house rules, etc. Please read all house rules before booking and before your visit. Please also read the direction section and house manual section upon confirming your reservation. The lodge was originally built for our hunting guests (thus the rustic decor and taxidermy.) It's reserved October through December 20th every year for hunters. We may open some dates up depending on availability during the fall season. Lost/forgotten items will be held for one month after your stay before they are disposed of or donated. It is up to you to contact us to arrange for shipment or retrieval of items. Shipping fees through USPS will apply. Guests have access to the lodge and outdoor spaces near the lodge. We have a wedding barn 1/4 mile away from the lodge. If there is a wedding that weekend, we ask that lodge guests do not go to the barn area of the property. We will try and inform guests if there is a wedding on the weekend they will be here. However, some weddings may book after the lodge has already been reserved. Please do not open gates to any fields on the property. Guests are free to walk around the property as long as you don't have to open a gate to get there. The high-fenced hunting preserve near the barn is off-limits and will be treated as trespassing should it be entered. We are available to answer questions usually within a few hours if we are home. Please remember we are not a hotel, and we are not on call. We try and give as much privacy as possible, but we do live next door, so you will likely see us outside some. We are in the country, but right off of the highway. We have a strict cancellation policy, and do not give refunds for cancellations for any reason at any time. We are sorry for any unforeseen circumstances, weather conditions, or changes in group composition, but we can only be responsible for the condition of our lodge. Fishing is free and you may keep any fish you catch. No permit is required. Tons of outdoor activities are within about an hour drive. Some more, some less: Current, Black, and Jack's Fork rivers; Big Spring, Alley Spring, Round Spring, and Blue Spring; Clearwater and Wappapelo Lakes; Elephant Rocks and Johnson Shut-Ins State Parks; Peck Ranch; Cross Country Trail Rides; 21 Drive-In; or just enjoy the pool here and fishing at the pond. Locally, we are 30 minutes east of Poplar Bluff, MO just 7 miles off Hwy 60. We are 30 minutes west of Van Buren, MO, also off of Hwy 60. We are 20 minutes northeast of Doniphan, MO, off of K hwy (off of hwy 21). Further out, we are about 3 hours south of St. Louis, MO, 3 hours northwest of Memphis, TN, and 3 hours east of Springfield, MO.

A secluded, cozy home tucked away in the rolling hills of the Ozarks in Missouri! From the front door it is approximately a 2 minute walk to a private gravel bar perfect for a lazy river day or a great spot for children of all ages to safely play in the clear water of Black River. You can float or kayak/canoe the river with access to drop off points up the road from our home which allow you to float down to our house. Our home shares a private drive with 5 other homes. The owners of all homes share access to the common area which hosts the playset, basketball court and gravel bar. The home is two levels and includes everything to make your stay as convenient as possible! The bottom level has a full bathroom, laundry room area with washer and dryer and a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook and eat as well as a large dining table. Also, in the lower level is a large garage turned into a game room and a few steps outside from the garage you can walk down a lighted deck to a firepit with built in benches and tables. It makes for the perfect spot to cozy up and roast smores, enjoy the beautiful scenery and share memories! Upstairs is an open area which doubles as the bedroom and living quarters complete with a queen bed, queen sleeper sofa and twin rollaway bed as well as a big screen TV and plenty of other seating! Outside the exterior door upstairs you will find another craftsman deck with built in seating as well as an area for covered parking. The home is stocked with all your essentials including: washer, dryer, microwave, toaster, blender, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, iron and ironing board, large assortment of dishes, bakeware, pots and pans, stove top popcorn maker, toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, bath towel, washcloths, hand towels, and a few extra hygiene items such as toothpaste, shampoo, etc. in case you forget something. We currently do not provide Wifi, there is cell phone service so you will have internet access via your phone. We have a TV with DVD player and a few DVD's as well as an Amazon firestick in the TV. There is a small assortment of board games. While the home is located in the beautiful hills of the Ozarks, it is conveniently located 12 miles from the city of Poplar Bluff. Poplar Bluff has lots of options for restaurants, shops and a movie theatre. At the house you will find a listing of our favorite local restaurants and shops!

Enjoy this newly renovated farmhouse just over two hours from the St. Louis area in the scenic Ozark mountains of Missouri.  This turn of the century treasure has all the comforts of home with modern convenience.  It is situated on 260 acres with private access to the crystal clear Black River. It is located near Missouri's best attractions, including Johnson Shut-ins State Park, Elephant Rocks State Park and the Ozark Trail.  Canoes and rafts are also available in nearby Lesterville, Missouri.

Prairie Hollow Hideaway is a charming 3-bedroom log cabin located 1 mile from both the Current and Jacks Fork rivers. The cabin is nestled on the edge of Prairie Hollow Creek, an intermittent creek, surrounded by open fields and woodlands. It offers a remote and peaceful experience free from distractions, with 3 bedrooms and a full kitchen. Whether visiting the area to float, sight-see, hike or hunt, this cabin is the perfect relaxing getaway. At Prairie Hollow Hideaway you can truly “hide away” from the electronic intrusions of the outside world. While there is no television, there is satellite internet service that provides basic WiFi for essential connectivity needs, such as email or WiFi calling. There is also a cell booster that may provide some 4G depending on your cell carrier. It may not work for every carrier or cell phone. (WiFi is provided as an option for essential communications and some basic web browsing, but we don't guarantee that connection speeds will support streaming content. We also do not guarantee cell service with the booster since provider coverage and signal strength vary in our area.) The cabin is fairly secluded from everything else around it, with only brief glimpses of activity that occurs in the area and no other houses in sight. Prairie Hollow Hideaway is the perfect escape, with an excellent location that will allow you to easily enjoy a variety of activities. It is located less than 10 minutes from Eminence, just off paved State Highway V. Your reservation includes full use of the entire cabin, the outdoor fire pit/picnic area, the mowed lawn areas around it, and the intermittent creek in front (kiddos love to explore the creek when it's flowing). The cabin is two stories, with the second floor reached via sturdy stepladder. The main floor includes a living room, master bedroom, full bathroom, kitchen, and utility room with refrigerator and washer/dryer. On the second floor, two bedrooms and 1/2 bath will accommodate up to 5 for sleeping. We don't recommend the upstairs for babies or toddlers due to the open stepladder access. Each bedroom has its own dresser and closet area. We provide linens, towels, soap, toilet paper, hair dryer, dish soap, paper towels, and an initial supply of laundry detergent. The kitchen includes seating for 6, and has an electric range, small oven, and microwave. It is fully stocked with cookware, dishware, can opener, coffee maker, toaster, and blender. There is plenty of cabinet space for food and storage. We provide napkins, cooking oil, salt and pepper for seasoning, and creamer/sweeteners for your morning coffee. The adjacent utility room provides a full-size refrigerator, washer/dryer (including initial supply of detergent and dryer sheets) and more cabinet space, with iron and small ironing board. A selection of board games and yard games are stored in the utility room cabinet for good old fashioned game time with your group. The front porch runs the full length of the cabin, overlooking the creek drainage. A porch swing and Adirondack chairs provide comfortable outdoor lounging space where you can enjoy coffee on a cool morning or watch the sun go down. The porch also provides the perfect vantage point from which to observe wildlife like deer, bobcats, and a variety of birds. A fire pit, initial complimentary firewood (additional may be purchased locally), and additional Adirondack chairs in the yard are the perfect way to end the day, stargazing or roasting marshmallows. A wooden picnic table sits nearby the fire pit, to make it easy to enjoy your meal outdoors. A cooking rack is installed on the fire pit for campfire cooking. If you bring your own charcoal, a charcoal grill is available for your use as well. As a convenience, we provide one complimentary 5-gallon bucket size bundle of firewood for your use in our outdoor fire pit, if you should desire to have an evening campfire. However, if you would like more firewood than the ONE bucket full during your stay, you will either need to bring or buy firewood, OR you can purchase additional bundles from us for $5 each. This is the same price as all the local firewood vendors, if you should desire to purchase your additional firewood before you arrive. The area around the fire pit is wooded, so we also allow you to collect any dead and downed wood for your fire. The property is easily reached by paved state highways. The cabin is situated on the back side of the creek and is reached via gravel driveway and low-water bridge. In the event of heavy rain causing the creek to rise over the low-water bridge to a level that you are uncomfortable crossing, there is an alternate entry through the owner's neighboring driveway. The cabin is in a quiet valley not far from owner's residence. We have house rules about excessive noise and fireworks so that neighbors are not inconvenienced. We are often nearby if guests have any needs. We will stop by at the start of your stay to ensure everything meets your and our expectations with your reservation and to answer any questions. After that, we will stay out of your way for the remainder of your visit unless issues arise. PRICING INFORMATION: Base rental price is based on occupancy by two people. There is an additional $10 charge per day for each additional individual (regardless of age), for up to 5 additional guests, for a maximum total of $50 per day above the base price for full occupancy. This allows us to keep the price lower for small groups, rather than charging the full occupancy price on every reservation regardless of group size. Please ensure you include all guests in your reservation request to ensure accurate pricing. Your reservation includes full use of the entire cabin, the outdoor fire pit/picnic area, the mowed lawn areas around it, and the intermittent creek in front (kiddos love to explore the creek when it's flowing).
